The 3rd report research malakal

Date: 18 / 04 / 2011
Observation:
Through visiting of today, in the first visit of date 28/03/2011; my team mates went to the eastern part of the Mosque, there is a place where/ we when they selling sand and stones just around the market. We found two people who were scooping the sand in to the sack, because if someone want to buy it will be very easy to pack the sack of sand or stone
Then one of us asked the worker about the cost of the sand and stone, here the sand is 20 pounds and the aggregate is 15 pounds. So one of us introduced himself that is called Samuel and also my name is Juma. Just the beginning we call them to take photo together, one of us ask is this materials belong you to you the respond is not and were is owner the saying the owner is sated at the shop they we are works just to scoop the sand and aggregates in to the sacks if any one comes to buy they will call the owner to come well we are continue working.
I introduced myself to them am call Night Clara John and what are your names am call Jacob and my friend is Younis. Then I asks them that, where do you get sand and aggregates or materials? They said that, in Malakal here you will not get any good materials around we use to go to outside counties to bring the materials then another thing here is transport is not easy too and front is very difficult here in Malakal. Even iron bars and iron sheet they bring them all from outside not in Malakal
In this observation, we first have through a second place were by with a lot of timbers in the shop we found the owner we greed him then Samuel introduced himself that we are from the (VTC) Vocational Training Center in (UNU) Upper Nile University in this training we are teachers, this two here are my colleagues Joseph and Clara in one school.

Therefore, one of our colleagues ask the owner of the shop that he ask the sell to introduced himself for us is Jacob he tell us that l am civil engineer, from they we start to ask the prices of the timber ‘’4x1’’ is with 24 pounds, but  the type of trees is not around here in Malakal. Where do you this type of the tree? The transport from outside Malakal because most of the materials is through transportation to Malakal for selling this people here they buy from me and the other materials like bricks, sand and aggregate is not easy to transport the materials is very difficult here in Malakal.

Through this Reflection the activities l discover here is not easy for people to get materials that is difficult to build a good house here in Malakal is problem because through this activities to get them around you will not found, needed you to look for it before starting the foundation of the building
